Art Rage?

It's a really fun program, I highly recommend every give it a shot. The free version is, well, free! And the full version is only $25 or something, so it's really good. I, alas, only have the free version (for now), and one of the biggest drawbacks of it is that there aren't multiple layers (there are in the full version, but hey, that didn't help me much XD)

But anyway, enough rambling. Here, have a dump of portrait scribbles. :)

This was supposed to be Wolverine. Well, no, it started out as a Mr. Incredible lookalike thing. And ended up a Wolverine/Mr. Incredible lovechild monstrosity:

Derp derp derp, enjoy.

:)

Post tiem!

Firstly we've got a set of pin ups I did for an art history presentation on the Northern Renaissance. The girls were basically made to be stereotypes of different regions that pertained to our project. Unfortunately the scans are awful. I'd rescan them, but they've all found homes around the studio at peoples' desks >_>

(Left - Right: Dutch, German, French)

Lately I've taken to drawing on small index cards. Not only do they make really easy gifts/instant art trades, drawing on these helps me draw smaller, and use the whole figure (I tend to draw massively, and then only heads) ~ There were loads more (ones that I liked better than these, actually), but they've also found homes around the 2nd Year studio, so unposted those shall remain.

Next is just a character lineup for my Story class. I'll post the presentation boards once they've been finished :)

Lastly there's an ink doodle from last year that I found in my folders. I still kind of like it, even though it's old.

That's about it, for now anyway. I'll post some character designs soon, once they're done. :D

It's gettin' dusty in here...

Wow, I haven't updated in forever. And yet, I really have nothing to show for myself. I suppose I'll have to do a mass scan of crap in my sketchbooks, or post a few school assignments to keep this place alive.

In the mean time, though, have a concept doodle! I discovered that the old Painter Classic works halfway decent on my Macbook, so I gave it a try while designing my Cleric for an upcoming D&D campaign (geeky, I know, shut up) ~

And so I totally need to get a new tablet (or at least a tablet pen, I guess) as the nib in mine doesn't work any more. Wanna know how I painted this? Wanna? WITH THE ERASER SIDE. Now *that* is called making it work. Ghetto fabulous, whut.

That's about it, really. This is just a post to say "there'll be more coming soon! Hopefully!"

[EDIT] - So I hate painting on my Macbook because colours are WAY less saturated on this monitor. I think it's 'cause it's a laptop type thing, and the way you sit/angle you look at the screen has something to do with how you percieve the colours, or something... but yeah, I took a look at this on a regular PC monitor and it's so much darker than I had intended it to be. This makes me sad ;_;

WIP it good!

Some unfinished CGs... that'll most likely remain that way.

This one is the only photoshit... er... shopp'd one of the batch. Jo Pro was trying to teach me his method of CGing, which I adore. But somehow, I'm just too impatient to pull it off well. Meh, I'll just have to settle for being his fanboy. Shame.

The rest are straight-ahead paints on Painter. I'm trying to learn to paint for rlz, and like not use sketches. It's pretty hard going, 'cause I'm just failtastic like that *facepalm*

Okay, so I cheated on the pirate-y girl. It started off straight ahead, and I had most of it blocked in... but it looked so fucked up, I just had to sketch over it for salvaging purposes. Nyeh.

One month left of school... I am sooo burned out. And also: THERE, ARE YOU HAPPY AGNES AND AYAN? JEEZ. xD

Lawl Post Whut?

Yay! I'm posting! *smiles stupidly at the collective groan of the world*

Unfortunately, it's really not much of a post. There'll only be one image-thing *sigh* ~ But once I scan stuff, and re-save some CGs as a useable file-type, then I'll post again! Hopefully soon! (But probably not)

Today's offering is a dr00dle of Sophia, from Battle Arena Toshinden. I'd be very impressed if anyone knew anything about this game/anime. If anyone does know of it, then you'd notice that's she's way off model. I totally made up half her outfit as I went along, lawlz.

Unspectacular, I know, but hey it's better than nothing xP ~ Painter X for this one :)

Oh, and because Sanju asked...

And yes, he DOES look like a really gay Splinter. Bite me. :D (Opencanvas for this one)

And then there was HELL WEEK!

Whoo boy, whoever said animation was easy was totally fucked in the head. Wait, no one ever did say that, did they? xP

Eeeeeh, I'm dying under stupid deadlines T___T ~~ Well, actually, I'm exaggerating a bit (alot), and I think I'm actually managing to just keep on top of things, which in itself is an unusual thing.

Haven't had much chance to do anything digital, and my sketchbook has been sorely neglected. Been drOOdling a Narcissa Malfoy fanart, though. Don't laugh. Once (if) I manage to finish her (or bring her to a state of some semblance of presentability) I'll post 'er. I'm actually kind of happy with the way she's turning out, 'cause like I've never drawn that character before, and I think she's coming out alright O_o;

So, in the mean time, here's my name plate! First assignment for Digital Tools class, it's like a coverpage thingger that's supposed to go in front of our animations when they're screened.

Yeah, it's small. Being the amazing, awesome, wonderful genius that I am, I totally managed to save over the normal size *facewall* ~ which sucks, 'cause I was quite happy with it. Aaaaah well *shrugs*
